The "Three Point" residential project in Dübendorf stands for high-density construction in a central location with optimal public transport connections. The three towers, which are over 100 metres high, characterise the cityscape with their modern, timeless architecture.
Already in the planning phase it became apparent that the installation of the screeds would entail special requirements. The height of the building, the tight construction schedule and the logistical framework required a solution that was both technically reliable and efficiently implementable. Accordingly, the relevant points were coordinated at an early stage between the project management, screed layers and system providers.
One of the biggest challenges was the installation up to the top floors. Thanks to the high flow rate, the flowing screed could be installed without intermediate pumps. The plan was to install around 1,400 m² per week, spread over several floors. Thanks to the good organisation on the construction site, these stages could often be completed faster than planned and the construction progress could be consistently adhered to.
In addition to the installation, the drying behavior also played a central role throughout the entire construction period. The aim was to achieve readiness for covering at a constantly low flow temperature and thus minimise energy consumption. This goal was reliably achieved: The readiness for covering was achieved within three weeks – regardless of the season and weather – and without any additional drying measures such as dehumidifiers or fans.
The "Three Point" project impressively demonstrates how construction progress, energy efficiency and process reliability can be successfully combined in large and complex construction projects.
