Resource conservation and circular economy

Sustainable construction also means using materials and resources efficiently and keeping them in circulation for as long as possible.

Resource conservation and circular economy

Responsible use of resources

Our goal is to significantly reduce the use of virgin raw materials and keep materials in circulation for longer. By 2030, we want to avoid 30% of primary raw material consumption. To achieve this, we increasingly rely on recycled and bio-based raw materials as well as product concepts that can be easily dismantled and recycled (see Marmotec). We already feed production waste back into the material cycle internally today. At the same time, we are developing solutions to collect construction-site waste from our products externally and return it to the cycle.

Thinking circular economy together

Sustainable construction also means using materials and resources efficiently and keeping them in circulation for as long as possible. That is why we at Weber Saint-Gobain focus on the circular economy: it makes ecological sense and is economically relevant.

We cooperate with research institutions and universities. We are also a member of the C33 association.
